It's me, Chris Ragg
Hello to everybody!
I have been working in interdisciplinary vascular medicine now for 27 years. I started with innovations in phlebology in 1999, among the first pioneers of endovenous therapy. Different to others, I was on my own as the founder of a private clinic - 100% responsible for everything my patients experienced. So I did not publish, but worked hard every day on improvements. From my pre-medical studies in physics I knew well about lasers, so I went to optimize their use in veins. Nobody showed my how to do tumescent anesthesia, so I had different ideas which were responsible for much better results, by chance. Years later, I invented percutaneous valvuloplasty and venoplasty which are already now of great benefit. I invented the transparent film bandage and obtained incredible results after sclerofoam. With the years and tens of thousands of patients, many more improvements resulted of our own scientific work, which now gradually find their way to industrial distribution. I sold the intellectual property to stay free from business intentions. There is nothing I am proud of, as there is so much more to do - e.g. to develop early stage diagnosis, more or endovenous valve repair. Today, my teams in Berlin, Munich and Zurich and a growing number of international friends are cooperating on a private basis with the intention to to improve phlebology.
